Billy,

I use an analogue watch with depth and bottom time as my backup. The watch has a
large second hand which can be use as a stand-in stop watch.

cheers

intervals on it's deco stops. When I mean stopwatch, I mean just that.
Something that I could start/stop and reset for each stop. This would be in
addition to my bottom timer, not to replace it.

have 17 deco stops. If you ascend at 30fpm it would take you 20 seconds to
arrive at your next stop. If you do not take this into account, then you would
shorten your total recommended deco time by about 6 minutes (17stops X
0.33minutes=5.661 minutes).

This is silly. Stop confusing yourself. Use run-time.
