Ah, the we come full circle again!

I wouldn't put too much absolute faith in those tables. PST for years
circulated bogus weight tables, which gave rise to the myth that PST LP's
have "better bouyancy characteristics".  Like so many bad things, theese
bogus numbers will not die. though its surprising to see them turn up at
this late date on the nitroxdiver website.

But why must the choice always be alu 80s or PST 104s? One's too light, the
other too heavy. Smart open water divers often choose other steel
configurations, like the Farber 85s or evem old steel 72s, either one which
weighs about the same as an 80,  will hold more,  swim better, and have
more ideal bouyancy but without being too heavy.
