We drilled down to the pocket it all collects in and ran a pipe down to it.
We collect the gas, run it through a CO2 scrubber, then boost it back into
the doubles. This keeps the gas cost down since we're getting about 42%
recapture. We've also noticed that all that gas is actually lifting the cave
system (or at least the near end of it since they use rebreathers further
back) at a rate of about 3 inches per year.
OK, really it filters back through the rock eventually making it to the
surface. Some collects in small pockets and stays there. (at least for
awhile).
