I am obliged to operate a number of dives in very cold water (less than freezing) with scientific divers who are not really at home in these temperatures (and I have no choice but to use these people, government contract rules). In order to assure their franchise I must explore every avenue of thermal protection, which I have. That being said I have been proposed a "heating system" from a company called PATCO. They have an electric heater for dry suit application. Has anyone on the list had any experience with this or any other system? In the commercial field I have used hot water suits but this project will not lend itself to this type of equipment. Patco also produces a line of lights and canisters, has anyone any comments on these? I am not sure if my question is of interest to the list so if you judge it not to be respond in private to info@te*.co* . I thank you all for your kind help and comments.
