Hello, I am currently looking into buying a new light. HID seems to be the way to go. I just saw dive rites very small 10W HID lights and wonder if they are well suited for diving. The reflector has an angle of 13 degree, that seems to be very small, more like a spot light for filming. I know that EE sells similar products with a diffent head. They look more useful. The only reason why I consider Dive Rite is that I can get them easier than EE in .au. My next question is, will the cable of the light come in my way? I never used a canister light before. On one hand they look really comfortable to use, on the other I fear I might get entangled because of the cable. Cave divers use these lights all the time, George and the WKPP recommend them, so maybe I should not worry about it. Is there any catch to these lights? Is the length of the cord the only critical point? Bye, Jens. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
