Subject: 300Bar Mixed Opinions

I was amazed how many mixed opinions i got about 300 Bar valves. To me
it seems 300 Bar was a marked improvement on a already good thing. Most
of the negative stuff comes from over the pond. They feel they have the
most experience with DIN. This is what one guy wrote in response to my
comment that "Only an Idiot would not use 300 Bar valves if gives the
choice"

He writes:.

"not really; 300 bar equipment is not recommended by
many senior explorers; 300 equipment suffers more slitage if
used with gases compressed at such pressure; also they are
prompt to fail more often underwater, they cost more and
there are less manufacturers (most are in Europe)."

Maybe you guys are confused I am using 300 BAR valves but rarely pump my
tanks over 200 BAR or who the fuck started this BAR shit anyway lets
just say 3000 PSI. Why would they be more prone to fail its little more
than a few more threads on the DIN. My response is stop using shitty
valves and trying to crank your tanks to 5000 and you be OK. I believe
300 BAR is the way to go at reasonable tank Pressures.
