It's not uncommon to find the same thing in any reg you might buy,
regardless of the manufacturer.

I recently got some of these regs, and opened them up to have a peek before
I set them up. There was metal filing dust and 1 or 2 small chips from
machining inside, so I disassembled them and thouroughly cleaned them. Apeks
recently recalled some TX100's for exactly the same thing. I advise anyone
who just got some of these to clean them thoroughly before using, as little
bits of metal rattling around inside is not a good thing.
