Hi There,

I asked this same question on the Rec. Diving list and got a few responses=20
but I thought I'd ask it on this list to get the straight poop.

For all you DIR divers out there, it it acceptable to wear a Stainless Steel=
=20
backplate with a set of Aluminum 80's when diving with a wetsuit in salt=20
water?

I understand the concept of needing to be able to swim up the system with no=
=20
air in my wings at the start of a dive and also needing to be not too light=20
at 10 feet with the tanks empty.

I believe that DIR permits no diving with steel tanks and a wetsuit.=A0 My=20
question is simply does DIR permit diving Aluminum tanks and a steel=20
backplate with a wetsuit?

Thank you for your time.
