Thanks for the update, Trey. While at HS in October I got a chance to look at the NTT footage from some recent coverage. Picked up a few Japanese words from having lived in country for five years. The female commentator kept saying "abunai" and "sugoi" in describing the cave scenes, which roughly translated means scary and wow! Keep up the great work, Tod ------------------- Trey wrote: WKPP has not been diving other than practice dives since that big storm. The systems we dive are not in exploration condition right now. We are diving in smaller groups for training purposes, but have nothing to report. We are also working on new gear and tricks for the next round of exploration dives in Wakulla and Leon Sinks. Wakulla is set up out to 17,000 feet with safety bottles and rebreather drive bottles. Leon Sinks is not set up at all. Some of the guys are diving in the Panhandle, some at Manatee, most in Mexico or other places. Pina and I did some time in Mexico recently, JJ was in Europe, TC and the gang are cross training heavily, all of us are getting gear squared away to go at it hard again next season. Some of the guys , like Herve , have been doing marathons and triathlons in the meantime. We have several more TV shows in the queue so we will be diving at Wakulla whenever the basin is clear , filming in the clear spring tunnels, but not diving the conduit. That book "Science in the Extreme" brought all of the TV producers off the bench again. We expect to get a lot done this year in an even more efficient fashion. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
