Just when you thought that drysuit issue was over..... Actually, I'd like to hear to some opinions, comments, or anything in general about Typhoon Drysuits. I've been a Viking suit owner for a couple of years now and am disatisfied with their suits. Vikings tend to fall apart, don't last up to "at least my" wear and tear, and are frightening around any kind of petroleum product. This is not a flame against Viking, and I won't argue whether the Sport is better than the Pro. I'm just saying that the Viking Suits just don't fit my diving needs, and I need to find an alternative. On the other hand, my group of technical divers, have just opened a local technical dive store and are selling Typhoon suits. The tri-laminate suits tend to be very very rugged, petroleum products resistant, and in general a fine suit, capable of withstanding just about anything. The big down side that it takes about 6 months to get a custom suit. Also, they tend to be a bit pricey - like $2000+ for the Pro model and $1500+ for the lighter Ranger Model. I'd like to hear some comments about the suits, customer service - if any, how long it took to get your suit, and overall any comments are welcome.
