Consider using spell-check ( "cartelidge"??).
Just because you are an engineer does not mean you have to spell like one.

CNS tissue contains Nerves, right? Nerves have myelin insulation.
Way back in the seventies they taught us myelin was made from fat &
cholesterol.
If I recall correctly, nitrogen is preferentially absorbed by fatty tissues.
I do not know why joints get hit. May I offer a wild-ass guess?
Cartilage, tendons, bones, bursa, disks, et cetera [read structural
elements] may be less well-perfused
than muscle & organs [read active tissue].

Los Alamos & Lawrence Livermore do outstanding science work.
Just don't ask them to file your data-disks for you.........._[:]p
