Good point, but I'm sure I read somewhere that some of the ballast's come
completely sealed in resin - they must be environmentally sealed somehow
otherwise it wouldn't make much sense diving with them?

Also, the battery compartment of a Zepp is coated with a catalyst to convert
the excess hydrogen into water - I'm not sure how effective it is - I don't
think I would trust it.
