Hello, To date I have had my argon mounted upside down with a pony tamer on the left side of my doubles. Only used argon for wreck diving on Lake Superior. Never used or had to us argon cave diving. With the argon on the left waist strap is there a problem with stages? Also is there a diagram showing how this is all put together? I don't understand what a "big belt loop" is. Thanks, Al Peter Fjelsten wrote: > Den 22-10-2000 12:46 skrev Trey (At 22-10-2000 12:46 Trey wrote)... > >For wreck the DIR location is upside down on the left hip on a big belt loop > >( like the canister light only bigger so it slides over the d -ring and > >knife easily to be removed ) and is held back against the back plate with a > >bungee loop that is pulled over the butt of the tank. > > This is my exact setup, but I have the valve upwards (I can easily reach it): > could you elaborate why the valve needs to be pointing down if one can reach it > when pointing upwards? > > I find that if the valve is pointing upwards, I can keep my arms more near my > body: cf. > > | | / \ > \ / | | > > > A smaller argon bottle > >is generally used for wreck but the normal 13 cu ft at 2015 is fine. > > FYI, I use a 1,5L alu here in Denmark. > -- > Peter Fjelsten > > "Scuba Diving... another great activity where your main goal is to not die" - > Jerry Seinfeld > > -- > Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. > Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
