Recently I came across an article that suggests not using stainless steel fittings, flow valves or check valves in transfer whips for high-pressure 100% O2. Article suggests stainless steel is not compatible with high-pressure 100% O2 while cascading from one tank to another. Assuming stainless steel is properly cleaned and transfer rate is correct why is stainless steel is not compatible with hp 100% O2? Does any one know of an incident with hp O2 and stainless?
