Hi Steve,
-----------
... only one lot of expanding air needs to be dealt with on ascent. Using an
"Auto-dump", even this air sorts itself out.
-----------
I agree with this philosophy, and would if I could, but I can't.

>I can't understand your "Michelin Man" comment. Unless you are
over-weighted (unlikely from the sounds of it), *why* do you need to put so
much
air in your suit ???

I don't know. I am definitely not overweighted, at the end of a dive I have to
drain everything to stay at 3m.
It must be the change in buoyancy of the neoprene drysuit I use. Do you use
a membrane one?

>One of the big advantages I find with the Dive Rite wings over the
Zeagles is that the hard backplate enables a very simple switch from a twinset
to a single + pony. This involves just 2 wingnuts. I don't know of any other
B.C. system that makes this so easy. Have you thought about how you are going
to
deal with this ?

So far, I have seen nothing to equal the ease of use and flexibility of the
AP Valves cam band system. I can strap up any cylinder combination from
5.5" dia to 8". I have seen them adapted for use on a Pony aswell.

This, together with what I find is the better underwater trim of a Stab
means that for me, the Stab and Wing combination is the best option.
