A few months ago I received a package from a friend, Alton Hall. In the package was the introductory issue of his news letter, THE DIVERS LEGAL LOG. In the first issue the lead article was "TREASURE & SALVAGE LAW: Finders Keepers? Not necessarily!" The authors go on to describe the legality of finding ship wrecks, and removing any artifacts. It appears to me that this could be of some interest to many on this list. Now despite the fact that these guys are all lawyers, they are also divers, so they can't be all bad. The publication is FREE. So as divers you are all cheated out of the time honored quest, to always talk down the price of anything related to diving. THE DIVER'S LEGAL LOG is a publication of the New Orleans Admiralty Law Firm Vosbein, Delise, Amedee, Bertrand & Hall. The Divers Legal Log will be published bimonthly and forwarded, free of charge, to any one in the commercial or recreational diving industry. To be placed on the mailing list, write, call or fax their offices at: Vosbein, Delise, Amedee, Bertrand & Hall 101 W. Robert E. Lee Boulevard Suite 404 New Orleans, Louisiana 70124 Phone: (504) 282-4471 or 1 (800) DIVER 55 (348-3755) Fax: (504) 283-6826 --
