I have a hard time understanding the consternation that the
costs of mix seems to be causing.

There is ZERO sense in arguing about mix costing too much.  It
costs what it costs... if you can't afford it then do not dive
with it.  And if that means you can't (safely and
intelligently)dive the depth that you want to dive then you
DON'T DIVE TO THAT FUCKING DEPTH.

Diving does cost money.  I dive the Red Sea two or three times a
year and can't afford to do so more often.  Does that mean that
I go anyway?  No, because I can't afford to.
