Dear Mr. Gunther,

I am sorry but I must say your criticism *is not* constructive. I
AM NOT associated to GUE, I am 10 thousand miles from nearest US
port (Canary Islands, central east Atlantic, off Northwest
Africa; yes, we are cannibals here :-) and I would like to
stress the following:

- The DIR framework appears to be a **very serious** approach
which should be supported by, at least, the academics diving
community;

- Development of any serious approach costs lots of money, time
and efforts;

- These guys are shaping the first ever wholistic framework to
diving (physical fitness, stay-out-of-drugs, healthy food,
technical aspects of diving, true-gear, etc.);

Our fellow marine science students, here, are getting diving
certificates (PADI & similar) after a single week of training (in
cases after a *single day*) and doing a bunch of
trial-and-error-in-water stuff due to the lack of a **serious
conceptual  framework**.

Please, be constructive.
