I am giving a presentation on decompression theory for a few interested divers and as part of this want to cover the concept of the oxygen window. I am happy with the concept, and have read various articles and emails from the archives relating to the oxygen window, but am struggling to find a numerical example demonstrating the benefits of breathing 100% O2 (rather than 80/20) at 6m. I would like to show the size of the oxygen window, as in the drop of total gas tension from arterial to venous blood, and how an increase in this drop increases off-gassing, and how nitrogen in the breathing gas significantly decreases this drop in total gas tension. Thanks for any help in pointing me to a source of such an example, or providing one. Maike -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
