I just got the latest, hot-off the press copy of Skin Diver Mag.  (a "fine"
diving publication...)  Anyway, check out the article on pg. 38, about
"training".  

"Eventually, of course, I figured it out.  Since Rennecker had made it down
this passage without even slowing down [to check on his student] there was
no way it could have been that tight.  I had to have wondered into a
restriction."

What gets me is that they actually are printing this in a publication,
acting like this is the way things are done in cave diving.  Looks like a
good way to help the gene pool too me.....It's crap like this that makes me
glad I met the right people, and that they taught me what was right, and
what was not.
