If you dive wet, don't stay in the water long. Keep in mind that if you are going to go into deco, being cold is a bad idea when off-gassing. I consider a drysuit essential equipment if you are going to do deco around here. Can't afford a drysuit? Don't go into deco. Would recommend that you purchase a deco planning software (try Deco Planner at www.gue.com), this will answer your questions regarding deco gasses.
