HI, Start by saying thanks to all for the 80/20 thread - an old rehash for many but it caused me to follow through quite a few references that I would not have otherwise seen ( even though a few rattles were tossed from the pram on the way ). The diving community where I am is quite backward - we have one or two guys diving trimix and at the last count about 10 or so using nitrox ( out of about 250 or so active divers ). When I last had a discussion with someone connected with the deco chamber and mentioned using 100% O2 as a deco gas he went white then red then exploded - they have also stated publicly that they do not wish to treat anyone who gets bent on a helium mix. I don't think that this guy is on the list - if he is I am now in deep shit ( Hi Mickey - buy you a beer sometime ? :). So one question is the treatment for a trimix bend that different or complex ?. From previous posts on the Oxygen Window etc it seems to me that off gassing of N2 should be more efficient at a 6m stop than a 3m stop ( as long as you are willing to accept the 1.6 PPO2 ) ?. Last question is a dumb one, out of interest those of you who sleep on long deco are you using surface supply and full face masks ?. I am not about to try dozing off here as we have a 10m (30 foot) twice a day tidal range and cannot afford to relax for one moment while in the water. We regularly have to avoid pot bobbers and assorted nutters using our deco markers as race markers for their power boat exploits.
