Guy you moron. You're confusing pulmonary oxygen toxicity (OTUs -- "lung
tissue impact") with CNS oxygen toxicity. A reduction in vital decrement
because of pulmonary ox tox takes more than 7 hours at a 1.6 PO2 to
develop. Back gas breaks are used to extend the CNS clock not the
pulmonary clock. They have no effect on lung function and aren't intended
to. Even a beginner with a basic Nitrox cert knows this.

If this is your level of understanding, the only "contradiction" here is
that you come back alive from your dives. You shouldn't be allowed to
snorkel in a kiddie pool let alone get in the ocean if you don't even
understand these basic concepts. Now go back under the rock you crawled
out from and leave this mailing list to people with enough of a handle on
the basics to actually contribute something.
