I dont need internet lessons in use of a compass. I have done more than
enuff land navigation to use one, and i can assure you that if try to swim
by bearings alone on a metal debris field wreck you will become disoriented.

Being nationalistic, racist, and classist are three independant concepts,
look it up if you need to. my point was that there are different ways to do
something, and that while these ways may appear to differ in accordance with
local custom they are in fact the same.

Again both you and G have restated my original point, use a reel in
situations where the compass is less than reliable.
