I recognize that yes you know more than I, about they type of diving you do, and believe it or not I have learned from you. However you really should be less of an asshole, a lot of what you say can help people, but only if your willing to teach it. What you do is not teaching. <<The reasons (S) that the backup reg is attached around the neck start with the fact that this is your backup and MUST be where it is supposed to be without question. It can not be allowed to fall loose or get blown back in a current or on a scooter.>> As far as this goes, yes you have logic in what your saying, but I have to question the risk benefit of it. Is the risk of it falling out of the loop and your dyeing as a result, equal to or greater to the risk you might cause your buddy, as he has to wait for you to cut the bungee? In this risk, you must assume he has panicked, sense that's the hole point of giving away your primary. Next, from what I understand, JJ, the DIR second in command uses a loop, so I guess he to is a stroke. >> I realize that you want to find fault with everything I do, but you go get my experience and knowledge base and then come on back and give it a try.>> I don't want to find fault in anything anyone does, but if I see something I do not agree with, I will point it out. No, I do not have the same experience and knowledge you have, but you do know have the same knowledge and experience that I have. I have never dove a cave. I am not a deep diver, and I have yet to dive mixes. However, if you think the type of diving I do is for pussies, you are welcome to come to Oklahoma, I will toss a quarter into one of our many black water lakes, rivers, pounds, or sewage systems, and your welcome to go get it for me. Hell you can keep it if you can find it. There is a saying one of my martial arts instructors used often, "practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect." I am sure when you pick this email apart you will find countless reasons to insult me, call me asshole, wimp, pussy stroke what have you, I do not care, go to town. All I ask, is you show us your risk benefit research on the loop Vs. permanently attaching the bungee to your second stage. Many people on this list use the loop, as I said above from what I understand so does JJ. I am asking you to show us why you are more right on this issue, than me, JJ, and the rest of us? If you show us the stats, and they agree with what you say, I will gladly admit that permanently attaching the bungee is better. Now does that sound like resentment to you? One last thing Trey, you can get as sick of me as you want, I'm not going anywhere.
