I'm 5'2", have a short torso and have no problem using a standard backplate. I see no reason someone my size needs an adjustment to the backplate length. In fact, I would question if there are any issues with supporting doubles properly with a shorter backplate? Today, I was trying it on one of my assistants (of similar dimensions), and it seems too long. The guy who I have been getting back plates from, Bruce Stewart (triton-dive.com), manufactures plates some 2 1/2" shorter for women. This seems a good idea. Would you please comfirm if this is right for women. Enjoying the DIR transformation...... Regards, Jeff the Darwinian. >> -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
