I don't want so sound obnoxious or stand offish (and I'm sure I'll be
chastised if I'm out of line), but I don't really think that this is
what the techdiver mailing list is for and I for one don't want to turn
it into a forum like this.  

Now, if you were asking what vacations offer technical diving (e.g...
Nitrox, Mix, etc.)  that would be a different story, but I don't think
that's what you're asking (apologies if I'm wrong).  

With that said, what *is* the best way of finding out vacations that
offer more "out of the ordinary diving".  For example, the divemaster
that I dive with on Cozumel knows about the ceynotes on the island and
would take me there, but, unless you're well connected, normal scuba
shops would never even talk about it!

Standard discussions such as this are better conducted on rec.scuba or
other forums.

With that said, I would say to check out the world wide web site -
Aquanaut (http://www.opal.com/aquanaut) for some dive site information.
This site also has pointers to other dive related storehouses, but, for
the most up to date information, I'd really recommend rec.scuba.
