Also, the warm salt waters of the Caribbean and Gulf do not have quite the preservation properties as the cold, fresh, oxygen depleted waters of the Great Lakes and other sites. The article mentioned bulkheads already collapsing, so anything that is recovered will most likely be preserved for others to enjoy rather than rusting in one big hulk.
