Here's another hit if you're using a computer. I use one as a bottom timer because I was not smart enough to just get a bottom timer and use tables. On my computer I don't put in 100% O2 because at 20 foot it's at 1.61 and gets a violation. I program in 90% O2 and set the gas switch to start at 23 foot, this way bouncing between 22 foot and 2 foot on O2 doesn't violate anything and allows my computer to stay happy as I'm still on my deco gas. Usually violates out on the second dive as my tables always get me out of the water faster. Doesn't violate the 1.6 rule and start screaming at me..... On O2 at 20 feet you should worry more about the physiology issue that keeping your little toy happy. Sell your computer to someone that you dont like, and buy a decent bottom timer and lessons in deco-theory. It will freak you out for couple of dives, but it will make sense in a very short time.
