   Paul,  make sure you spend alittle extra money and get the natural
vitamin E.  The article you read was the Current Thought on Mechanisms of
Hyperbaric Seizures.  Jarrod had be take the article home one night and
lecture on it the next morning.  I failed miserably but that gave me enough
drive to learn it (by reading it 6 or more times).
  In the article, focus on two enzymes in the brain detoxify hydrogen
peroxide (a toxic biproduct of matabolism), glutithione peroxidase and
catalase.  Glutathione peroxidase seems to carry the brunt of the
responsability but it needs another compound to function properly in
reducing hydrogen peroxide into water.  That is reduced glutathione which
may be depleted during heavier oxygen exposures.
  It is also belived that vitamin E can elevate the levels of reduced
glutathione which may reduce hydrogen peroxide levels in the brain.  Animal
experements have shown with increase levels of vitamin E there was an
increase in time to a hyperoxic siezure..
