Subject: Oxygen Toxicity - using 100% in open water
Date: Tue, 6 Jun 2000 13:00:34 +0100
I think I remember reading a thread about deco in open water on 100% but
could not find it in the archive.

I am preparing for a Trimix course (IANTD in UK) and I am practising hanging
on deco at 6M (19.5 feet) before I switch to using 100%. I find that I am
fluctuating between 5.7M (18.5 feet) and 6.6M (21.5 feet) in calm conditions
and not attached to a shot-line or buoy.

From what I have read this seems to be safe enough but I would be interested
to know if others are able to control buoyancy more reliably. In some
unimaginable emergency, at what depth would you spit out your O2 reg?

A pointer to the right thread would be appreciated.

TIA

Tim
