Sidney: I'm not ignoring you. ;) The impression I have of trimix/heliox is that the helium is to keep you out of nitrogen narcosis and there is no advantage for avoiding DCS. At 50 feet, nitrogen narcosis wouldn't be an issue. I've never done a dive with helium and have never even run the numbers on a computer program, so I am at best semi-clueless on this subject. Since I really don't know the answer, I am going to shut up and see if anyone here can educate us both.
