Kevin, the airplane analogy is flawed. DIR is the most optimal form of diving,
not "just" another way of doing it. If you just want to fly obviously either a
biplane or the concord will do. But if you goal is to get from JFK to London in
less than a week the choice is obvious.

 I like to drive my car fast too, but im not going to get my panties in a wad
when Mario Andretti laughs at me going 60 on the freeway and I damn sure am not
going to drive my 76 ford Pinto at Indy or LeMans and expect < much less
DEMAND>
to be taken seriously, especially if my excuse is " I cant drive a forumla one
because my shoes are itchy".
