Trey... Here's one for ya. Apparently last May a couple of divers had a mooring line break on them on one of our local wrecks, the Rosinco. They shot up a bag with a slobwinder from 180 without incident. No big deal. Mooring lines break. Haberski caught wind of this and blew it all to hell. Here's a message I was fortunate enough to have forwarded to me from Jim himself: " This lift bag/reel shit has got to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is convoluted logic and belong out on the east coast.....period. All you should take down is an ORANGE REEL (Handy Andy) with 3/16 polypro line with a clip. The reel can go thru your arm to clip to your weight harness. It has all of the necessary functions you will need., 1. It deploys in less than 5 seconds 2. It is simple 3. It requires no air------------time to use 4. It is expendable 5. It is reuseable 6. It marks the surface 7. It makes a nice marking/lifting line for ""other"" things 8. Cheap----easy----simple..... " Any stroke who dives with an extension cord reel around their arm needs to be flamed. Who in their right mind would want to spend an entire dive with a $5 dollar handy andy plastic piece of shit around their arm. Trust me, I dive the Great Lakes, and their isn't anything better than a spool and a bag...period. If you can't handle popping up a bag from that depth, you shouldn't have been there in the first place. Like Trey said.... it's things like these... plastic extension cord reels, that are "The tip of the stroke" which reveals the true Haberski character. Think twice before getting involved with this individual. Gavin >Gavin, has Hyperski stopped diving his rebreather?
