Gang, MHK, with Halcyon's support, is going to be presenting a DIR demo in Hood Canal on July 1st, 2000. Here will be a chance to see and try the controversial gear configuration that has been used by the Woodville Karst Plain Project (www.wkpp.org) divers in their record setting penetrations to explore the depths of the Woodville Karst Plain cave systems, and By GUE (www.gue.com) divers during their exploration of the Britannic. The demo will be held in Hoodsport, Washington, sponsored by Hood Sport N' Dive (http://hood.hctc.com/~hsd/contact.htm). The initial demo will be held, and then opportunity will be allowed for any and all interested parties to dive the gear, free of charge. This is an outstanding learning opportunity, and a chance to see for yourself why this gear and the configuration is changing the way a lot of divers do their diving.
