Hello List, A trip to the Lake Superior has been cancelled and I really wanted to check these wrecks but I think, it will be for later. I am now considering going to Hawai (After being ready to very cold water, I am now ready to plan warm water). But I don't know anything about the kind of wreck or deep dives I can expect there. I plan to go there in July or August one week. If anybody has another suggestion (except Florida where I went four months ago), I am ready to listen to every advice. kiki > -----Original Message----- > From: tgunther@co*.co* [mailto:tgunther@co*.co*] > Sent: Friday, May 05, 2000 8:29 AM > To: techdiver@aquanaut.com > Subject: Re: advise for new tekkie > > > Mike: > > << 6) bungees or without bungees on bladder ? why ? >> > > I could iterate each reason but you might learn more from > searching the archives > (http://www.aquanaut.com/bin/mlist/aquanaut/techdiver/subject) on the word "bondage" or other relevant moniker. Having used this wing myself before and can vouch for the legitimacy of it's critiques. << 2) IATND recommanded a 22.5 kg lift bag, i have a 25 kg lift bag already >> Rule number one, don't look to IANTD for advice. These are the same folks that continue to promote deep air as a viable safe form of diving. Is this the kind of credible advice you are looking for in an agency? Start at the Halcyon site (http://www.halcyon.net/mc/05mc.shtml) and then follow the link for whichever wing you are interested in. The appropriate lift advice can be found there. << 8) i feel that the Harothigan method is very comprehenisve but i've been thinkning on the issue of the bungees. with bungees , >> Get the DIR II video from Extreme Exposure (http://www.extreme-exposure.com/dir-vhs.shtml) and this will answer most of your questions. In it George specifically demonstrates the answer to this question. Hope this helps, Tod -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
