The only 2 gas mixing facilities in the FL Keys do just that.... At Paradise
Divers, Larry spends a lot of time actually wrenching off the CGA Helium
fitting and wrenching on the CGA Oxygen fitting just to use the same whip,
gauge, etc...

Don't know about other people's setups, but I've never seen a problem with
it, as long as you're filling SLOW and keep things CLEAN.... (no Dion's
Quick Mart fried chicken before filling O2! *GRIN*)
