I don't dive cave, but penetrate wrecks. I don't own either 5-ft or 40-in
hose, and use the same config on every dive. The viz where I dive now is
shite, so I use the light on every dive because we need it to see and to
signal.

I was just suggesting a possible solution if the guy is going to use the
5-ft hose and no light as asked.

Phi, we only use the lights if deep ( for signalling ), and we always
use the 7 foot hose . The O/W rig has a 40 inch hose. OW means OW.

If your knife is in the correct spot, on the belt, the long hose goes
under the knife, not in the belt, when there is no canister light.

DIR is DIR, and I made the tape, remember?

Perversions are not DIR, they are "Personal Preference" - see IANTD for
the complete bible of PP .
