Alex, Yes I was on the student side and did see Northeast Scuba Supply. I actually buy much of my gear from John. Not sure if I have met you or not, I have only been to the shop once. The benefit of having a buddy who works down the road from you guys is that I don't have to carry my tanks much. see you on the bottom, d "ALEXANDER MELLER" <seacave@vo*.co*> on 04/18/2000 11:21:15 PM To: <techdiver@aquanaut.com>, Daniel Smith/USATC/NA/COLPAL@co* cc: bcc: Subject: Re: DIR in the Northeast Daniel If you were on the student side this weekend you would have seen our whole shop DIR. At Northeast Scuba Supply, we are trying to expose every one of our divers to DIR and the attitude that goes with it. Upon certification we show our students the benifits of doing it right and point out the down falls of personal preference. We are hoping to change the look of diving in the Northeast. It is funny that when I am on a dive boat, I am criticized because of my DIR gear. Yet when I am cave diving in Florida, the locals ask me where is my pizza stained Doria Tee shirt. That's Ok. I don't need the exceptance. Tyler Moon turned me on to the system 3 years ago. Now I have my students dive it. DIR will grow in the Northeast. The Northeast is just in need of good instructors that dive and can teach the DIR system and attitude. Everyone thought the world was flat once too.
