True. I can get 3 dives off my double 95s. But why use them for a single
dive night trip?

We're talking about Faber 45s. Like ALL of the Faber LP steels, they are
neutral when empty. We change among double 45s, 85s and 95s without
changing anything else. We use a V-weight in every case.

Being properly configured for a recreational profile does not require 180+
cubic feet of gas. I see no harm in carrying just what is needed.

This is exactly the reason for using doubles all the time.

What did you say about buoyancy characteristics and a drysuit?
