I do not use it ( green tea ) in a dive, but some of them might.
Actually, the caffeine is an anti tox weapon, and the hydration issue is
offset by the fluids we are drinking. Gren tea is one known antioxidant,
but I stick with the ones tha have been dive tested of for efficacy.

I take 3000 iu of E before the dive as my only antioxidant, and I do 40
mg of Piroxicam at 5:00 in the morning, and 1000 mg of ibuprofen before
I get in the water, and that is it for me for the whole deal. If I got
bent, I have unmixed drugs with a long shelf life on hand, but that has
yet to ever happen, but I keep them just in case.

I have a camelback of gatorade at 240 feet on my first deco bottle, and
a sandwiwch in the 50 foot traugh. The other guys entertain themselves
with all kinds of books, food, drink etc the whole way up, but I zone
out and the next thing I know, I am out of the water. I can also sleep
in water, so that makes a big difference.
