Subject: Housing for Sony SC-100 digital video camera (part2)
Date: Thu, 30 Mar 2000 17:47:48 +0200
I would like to thank everyone who answer and gave me leads on the housing.
Pretty much boiled down to only 2 commercial units available for the SC-100:

1. Light and Motion Mako-SC100
2. UnderSea Video Housings http://www.usvh.com

If you have first-hand experience with either company / housing, please give
me some feed-back.

Both of the housings are supposedly tested to 200-ft, thus taking it pass
that would probably void any warranty ? The Sea&Sea housing I have is rated
for 45m/150-ft, but I have taken it past 55m with no problem, so I see no
benefits in getting a 60m housing.

Third option is a couple of leads on individuals in Australia/Canada/Germany
who make housings.

TIA,

-Phi

If anyone has any information where I could get a deepwater housing
(preferably up to 100m) for the Sony SC-100 digital video camera, please
reply to me privately.

I already have a Sea&Sea housing for the camera, but it is only rated for
45m, and I would like to take it a bit deeper. I already contacted Barry
Miller @ EE, but Barry doesn't want to built one since the SC-100 lens is
not centered making it difficult.

Thanks in advance,

-Phi
