How old, in terms of date manufactured, is the MK20. I know that SP had piston replacement program in place. It was not a recall, but changed the design slightly. Check with you favorite SP repair center to get the new piston. That should fix the problem. I have recently started using an MK20 on my right post. On my last three dives, whenever I reach 40-45 feet and add air to my BC, the inflator button freezes open. At first I thought it was a wing problem, but today I tried a different wing and got the same result. I dive in cold water (33 degrees today). It is like the first stage is free flowing, but I can still breath fine off my primary reg. It only causes problems with my inflator. I have used this reg. before on a single tank rig and it worked fine.
