i was just looking at the Faber website at the "Catalogue of Faber Cylinders for Scuba Dive & Breathing Apparatus" (http://www.faber-italy.com/list/scubacat.htm). looking in the 14.5-22l section, you will see that there is only one cylinder of each volume (15l, 17l, 19l, 22l) that is based on the DOT3AA standard. the working pressure and weights all match what's listed in the OMS catalog. based on the standards info, i would venture a guess that OMS, Scubapro and Seagate cylinders are all the same, as they should be the only ones that are imported into the states. unfortunately, i've never seen published specs on the Scubapro or Seagate cylinders, so i can't verify that. anybody out there have these specs? granted, this does not answer the Faber/PST debate. as far as OMS durability, i've got a number of sets of doubles, including a pair of '93 120s bought third hand, originally from a cave diver who seems to have been rather friendly with the ceilings. the grey layer of paint is gone on the shoulders, but the white primer is holding strong. the internals are still immaculate. --- Glenn Goettler Liquid Earth geg@li*.co* http://www.liquidearth.com -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
