Art, Jess, Stan and Dave(s) I am not a metalurgist, just adding what I hear. Yes the person who told me has a 'bias' towards OMS but wasn't selling me anything. I know they are spray galvanized not hot dipped. I have seen OMS and FABER tanks side by side and the FABERs were much heavier, and different bouyancy, not nuetral or near nuetral when empty. I havent seen the SCUBAPRO, and did not comment on them. It is possible that SCUBAPRO is buying the same OMS spec tank that FABER is making for them. I read in a post, I think from JJ, that the WKPP looked at lightweight steels for the rebreather, and mentioned OMS. I do not have time to dig out the post, but I thought it said they chose those. So if they are all the same but SCUBAPRO is cheaper, I do not know why they may have chose the OMS. Could it be they found a worthwhile difference?
