Hi everyone, after hearing all the hype recently about the Oceanic straps I decided I had to have some. I went to the dealer listing on Oceanic's web site and got the email address of every dealer that listed one. I then sent an email inquiry to them all. I got mostly "sorry can't help ya" replies, but then found someone that had three large pairs. I purchased all three ($35 each). I then had another dealer respond that had one pair ($25). I was happy with three, but gave the lead to my dive buddy. Moral of the story: they are still out there. I would venture to guess that if one was to send postal mail to all the dealers that don't have email addresses (which most of them didn't have one listed) they would find a source for the straps. Hope this helps someone who just "has to have some" and doesn't want to make their own. BTW, installation was not a problem for me, I bent the "C" shaped hook into an "L" shape, applied a little lubricant, pushed the hook through, and then bent it back to shape.
