According to the Miami Herald:

(3/18/00)
KEY LARGO - A dive tank being filled with air ruptured early Friday,
severing a dive shop owners left leg. William Gordon 66, owner of
Admiral Dive Center in Key Largo, was airlifted to Jackson Memorial
Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition
that afternoon.

According WSVN, the most sensationalist news channel in America, the
leg could not be re-attached.

Unfortunately, there are no further details about the tank type, age or
condition.

My condolences to Mr. Gordon, I hope he recovers quickly.
