Subject: Re: Uwatec Bottom Timer Problem

Dear Andrew,
I had a similar problem.
I switched on a uwatec Bt on, in the plane on the way to the Solomons.
It the registered a dive of 1.8m for the whole week.
Realize that the pressure inside a jet is set at 8000 feet, or 0.8 ata.
Hence it thought it was at 1.8m, on the ground.
When I left the Solomons, I watched the guage ascend, untill it shut off
when the plane was pressurized to 0.8 ata.
You need to reduce the air pressure to about 0.7 ata.
It does not need to be in water.
Only air.
If you can find a dental lab / dental technician, who has a vacuum investor
for mixing plaster, that should pull the pressure down.
You need some sort of chamber which will reduce the air pressure.
Do you know a fighter pilot???
Ha Ha.
A dental suction unit should pull it down to that as well.
Hope this helps,
regards,
Jeff the Darwinian.
