My name is Matej Simonic = and I am from Slovenia (Europe). I and a couple of my friends now slowly = move in DIR direction since there is no stores in our country that would = sell such equipment we have to make it ourselves and/or buy different = pieces of equipment from abroad... I am new on this list and I have 3 questions: 1) Rigidity/thickness of material (straps) used for harness. There are a = couple of them that have appropriate width that we can use. One is to = make it from the same material that is used for weight belts. This is = heavy duty, and is quite rigid. I found another one that truckers use = with spanners (tighteners) to secure the load on their trucks/trailers. = It is a little bit thicker, but is woven from finer, thinner fibers, is = also heavy duty, but is not so rigid. Which one is better? 2) I am trying to make an closed circuit Emergency O2 "rebreather". I = have 2l (14 cuft) oxy tank with a valve. I was thinking to connect a = valve with hose to some kind of bladder into which CO2 absorber and = moisture absorber would be instead prior to use. With the valve it would = be possible to add consumed oxygen, otherwise you would just breathe in = and out of the bladder. Does anyone have som links or instructions on = this subject? 3) What kind of breathing pattern do you have. Which is optimum for = lowest air/gas consumption? Half inhale/complete exhale (higher = frequency) or complete inhale/complete exhale (lower frequency)? Thanks Matej ------=_NextPart_000_07F7_01BF8A72.30852440 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-2" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-2" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2314.1000" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>First of all I would like to introduce = myself.
