As most of the diving done by the people I dive with is around the UK coast,
with tides almost always running during deco, this type of kit should, in my
opinion be carried in duplicate as well as the ultimate of tables,
mechanical guage ond watch if you want a belt and braces situation. If you
have ever tried staying close enough to read someone else's dials for forty
plus minutes in a two knot plus current under a deco bag then you would
perhaps consider replicating timers, guages and computers. This may not be
DIR when in a cave, but it is very comforting in 2 metre visibility in the
English channel in February.
